What is sugaring?
Sugaring is the removal of hair together with its roots using sugar as a depilatory medium without the aid of fleece strips.
A traditional method handed down from Cleopatra’s time. The antibacterial effect of sugar has been known for centuries, and in medicine it is still used today as a natural remedy for skin infections.
Planta Natur sugar paste consists of pure sugar and water and is therefore water-soluble. This property enables the gentlest epilation even on the most sensitive areas of the body and also on the face – and from a hair length of approx. 1 mm!
Healthy, living cells with a natural water content are not removed during epilation with sugar, only dead skin cells and unwanted hairs remain stuck in the paste. The skin irritation that occurs after depilation is kept to a minimum. The area depilated by professional sugaring feels well-groomed, smooth and soft after the treatment, even without subsequent cleansing.
Sugaring uses body-warm sugar paste to remove hair in the direction it grows, according to the natural angle of inclination. The sensation of pain is minimized and hair breakage can be avoided. Ingrown hairs and any inflammation are usually a thing of the past if sugaring is used consistently. Many years of experience have already shown this: With continuous sugaring epilation, the overall appearance of the skin becomes more beautiful, hair growth is reduced, regrowth decreases from time to time and becomes finer.

The optimum consistency for “Sugarn” is soft enough to be able to grasp every hair effortlessly, but at the same time firm enough to remove even the strongest unwanted hairs. However, external circumstances, such as room temperature, the heat of the user’s hands or the texture and heat of the skin area to be treated, influence the original consistency and material behavior of the paste. For this reason, sometimes a firmer paste is required, while at other times a softer paste is needed. Using the different base consistencies or mixing them together facilitates an effortless and thorough sugaring treatment.
